The majestic cross standing in front of the old school building is a textbook example of 19th century neoclassicism. With the year in Roman numerals, MDCCXLI, we place it in the 19th century, and thus in the Romantic period. Romanticism used several architectural styles, which he composed idyllic-romantically together. Therefore, in addition to neoclassicism, we can also notice elements of the Baroque on the cross. The pedestal with the table itself resembles a Greek, Ionic pin, with its engravings, but it is not cylindrical in shape, but square in shape. The table shows us, in addition to the year, also the main sponsor of the construction of this cross. It was sponsored, as usual, by the Zichy family, the aristocratic family used to live in Voderady. The largest figure of the monument is the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus. The obelisk, on the top of which we can see the cross, is architecturally interesting mainly by an engraving with a curtain motif, typical of the Baroque. The statue of the cross with the crucified Christ itself is almost the same in all periods. Above the figure of Jesus Christ is an imitation of a nailed plate with the inscription INRI, which is an abbreviation for the Latin name Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum, ie Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews.
