The monument stands in a park north of the old school building. It was ceremoniously unveiled on October 28, 1931 on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of the founding of the Czechoslovak Republic. The monument has a list of 36 Hnčiarovany who fell in the war. The inscription on the monument: "TO THE ETERNAL MONUMENT IN THE WORLD WAR OF THE FALLED AND BROTHERS BRUSHED ABROAD, THE CITIZENS WERE DEDICATED. Below is another text: "ETERNAL GLORY TO OUR FATHERS, THE BROTHERS WHO OPENED THE GATE OF OUR INDEPENDENCE WITH THEIR BLOOD."
