Cave settlement of hunters in the early Stone Age
The research revealed a multi-layered settlement. The oldest of the last interglacial is represented by the Muster culture from the Middle Paleolithic, when it was inhabited by a Neanderthal man. It is the oldest known cave settlement in our country. This was followed by the settlement of the Szeletien culture from the Late Paleolithic. The chipped and retouched stone finds and snails from this locality can be connected with the finds from the Black Sea area.
