The village is documented from 1293 as Gumba, from 1948 as Hubice; Hungarian Gomba, Nemesgomba. The village is mentioned from 1293. Part belonged to several peasant families, part was the tribal property of the Gombay family, who had a fortified mansion here, in 1553 Aranyossi, Csorbovce, Zomorov, Molnárov, Beelyov, in the 17th century most to the archbishop Szelepcsényi, here he had the estate of Wiener-Welten.
