The village of royal fishermen has been documented since 1264 as Hindu, later Hymud (1287), Kyshind (1411), Male Hindicze (1773), Malé Hyndice (1920), Malé Chyndice (1948), Hungarian Kishind. From the 14th century, the village belonged to the Jelenec estate, in the 17th - 19th century to the peasant families of the Bujníkovci, Dežerickýs, Sándorovs and others.
