On the mountain ridge below the top of Zobor lies the national nature reserve Zobor Forest Forest with rare thermophilic flowers.
Zobor is also interesting for its rich and famous history. At the end of the Bronze Age and the beginning of the Iron Age, there was an important fortified settlement. To this day, the inconspicuous remains of its rampart can be seen in the locality. At the foot of the hill stood from the beginning of the 11th century a famous Benedictine monastery, in which lived St. Svorad and St. Benedikt, and in which the Zobor documents were created - the oldest preserved documents in Slovakia.
Vrch Zobor is accessible by several hiking trails, such as the nature trail from Nitra (from the Medical Institute) or trails from Dražovce and Žirian.
